Tax Filing Season & Tracking Your Refunds

Tax filing season (which started Jan. 27) also means refund season for many taxpayers. If you’re entitled to a federal tax refund, know that the IRS issues most refunds in less than 21 days after a return is filed. E-filing generally expedites the refund process and enables taxpayers to check on the status of their refund 24 hours after submission. If you file a paper return, you must wait four weeks to obtain refund information. In both cases, visit Where’s My Refund? (https://bit.ly/3xJoEi1). The IRS asks taxpayers to wait three weeks after e-filing and six weeks after filing by paper before they call to ask about their refunds. Contact us with any questions. © 2025
