The IRS has updated its Economic Impact Payment webpage to help people who haven’t received COVID-19 stimulus payments. A new FAQ details a paper alternative to the “Non-Filers tool” for individuals who weren’t required to file 2018 or 2019 federal income tax returns. The FAQ states that if a taxpayer doesn’t want to submit the information online using the Non-Filers tool, he or she can use it to enter the required information and then print and mail the document. The IRS stresses that it’s important to submit the information only once (online or by mailing the printed form). The tool is available through Oct. 15, 2020.
