The Recovery Rebate Credit is a refundable tax credit for individuals who missed out on one or more Economic Impact Payments. These were initially issued in 2020 and 2021 to provide relief during the pandemic. Some individuals and families remain eligible for the payments. However, taxpayers must file tax returns to make claims, even if they had little or no income from jobs or other sources. Time is running out. Indeed, to claim the credit for 2020, the deadline to file a 2020 tax return is May 17, 2024. To claim the credit for 2021, the deadline is April 15, 2025. Note that the 2020 credit can be claimed for someone who passed away in 2020 or later. To learn more: https://bit.ly/4bYpsPF. Contact us with questions © 2024
