Many college students may qualify for Economic Impact Payments (EIPs), if they haven’t received them yet. The IRS is urging eligible self-supporting college students who don’t need to file a tax return to register by Nov. 21 so they can receive a payment by year end. According to the IRS, students with little or no income may be eligible for payments of $1,200 (or more if they have dependent children). While most eligible individuals automatically received their EIPs, others who aren’t required to file returns can only get their money by registering online with the IRS. They can do that by using the IRS’s Non-Filers tool. For questions, contact the Cg Team. © 2020
