The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) recently published “Options for Reducing the Deficit: 2019 to 2028.” The report presented 121 options that, according to the CBO, “would decrease federal spending or increase federal revenues over the next 10 years.” The three main chapters include options in mandatory spending, discretionary spending and revenue. A caveat per the CBO: “CBO’s projections, especially its projections of how the economy will evolve, are even more uncertain than usual this year.” Read the report here. © 2019
