As many businesses continue to feel the economic impacts of the Coronavirus pandemic, many are applying for the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP), designed to provide quick access to cash that can help employers keep paying employees and assist with other expenses such as health insurance premiums, rent or mortgage payments and utilities.
The American Institute of CPA’s (AICPA), in consultation with an AICPA-led small business funding coalition, CPA firms and key stakeholders, has provided recommendations and guidance to the U.S. Small Business Administration addressing important elements of the PPP, especially with regards to loan forgiveness.
