Sharyn Maggio, CPA, ABV, CFF, Partner, has more than 30 years of experience in litigation support, forensic accounting, banking, accounting, financial planning, business appraisals and Alternative Dispute Resolution services.
Her extensive expertise includes matters concerning business valuation, divorce, shareholder or partnership disputes, contractual disputes, accounting or legal malpractice, personal injury and wrongful death losses, as well as economic damage assessment. She also works closely with attorneys in all areas of investigative accounting.
Sharyn is accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). She also earned an advanced certificate in Personal Financial Planning and a Personal Financial Specialist designation from the AICPA. Sharyn was recognized by the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants (NJCPA) as a woman of distinction in the accounting field and also appeared on the organization’s CP-A List.
She is a frequent lecturer on investigative accounting, divorce and tax planning, forensic accounting, business valuation, executive compensation arrangements and divorce, alternative dispute resolutions (mediation and collaborative divorce), matrimonial litigation support accounting, and reasonable compensation. Sharyn has presented at the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, the New Jersey Institute of Continuing Legal Education, the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts and a variety of other organizations. She was also the principal author of the AICPA’s A CPAs Guide to Family Law Services – Business Valuation and Fraud and Litigation Services – Practice Aid 05-01, and has been published in numerous legal and accounting journals.
Sharyn is a member of the AICPA, the NJCPA, current chair of the AICPA/AAML National Conference on Divorce, member of the AICPA ABV Credential Committee, past chair of the AICPA Family Law Task Force, past charter member of the CFF Credential Committee for the AICPA, past chair of the NJCPA Matrimonial Interest Group, past chair of the NJCPA Divorce Conference, member of the Matrimonial Interest Group of the NJCPA, and a member of the Litigation Services Committee of the NJCPA.
Sharyn graduated from Monmouth University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Accounting.
